Walmart ha confirmado un cambio importante que afectará a todos los compradores en todas las tiendas del estado de Nueva York. Muchos no son felices.

En 2019, el gobernador de Nueva York, Andrew Cuomo, firmó un proyecto de ley que prohibía el uso de bolsas de plástico de un solo uso en las tiendas de todo el Empire State.

Walmart confirmó que a partir de finales de este mes, el 23 de enero, todas las ubicaciones de Walmart en todo el estado de Nueva York no tendrán bolsas.

"A partir del 18/1/23, nuestras tiendas de Nueva York dejarán de usar bolsas. Habrá una gran variedad de bolsas reutilizables disponibles para comprar en la tienda", escribió Walmart en Facebook.

Walmart recomienda que los clientes traigan sus propias bolsas cuando vayan de compras a las tiendas de Empire State. O los compradores pueden comprar bolsas dentro de Walmart.

Muchos en Facebook no estaban felices de escuchar esta noticia. La publicación superior muestra a una persona comentando que los neoyorquinos deberían "boicotear a Walmart".

Otros dijeron que "odian" el cambio, mientras que otro agregó: "Esto es una broma".
